June 16th Recycling!
Join us for our kick off workshop event!! Charlie from the Bloomsburg Recycling Center will be here to tell us how recycling our empty bottles and cans become new products! A bottle made into a shirt, an empty can made into an airplane?!? How is that possible!?! Come and find out what all the Bloomsburg recycling center collects and how recycling protects the earth one item at a time! Hands on fun and learning.

June 23rd Water Play!
Dip into water with the Conservation District! Check out the cool bugs that tell us if our streams are clean and watch a demonstration of how water moves when it rains in the wetlands! Come with all your questions about water!

June 30th “The Science of Spies”
From secret codes to surveillance, deception to disguises; find out if you have what it takes to be a spy! Join Dr, Ginny Weibel of the Children's Museum for hands-on activities to explore the science behind the world of spies.

July 7th “Worms!”
Find out how cool worms really are and how important they are to soil and our farms. Join Sarah Troisi, Crop Advisor with Upper Susquehanna Crop Management Associates. We might even get a chance to eat dirt!

July 14th “My Plate”
Kids can play with their food when they join Memie Christie, Penn State Extension Nutritional Advisor. Learn a little more about the fruits and veggies that are available in season and how it fits on “My Plate.” Even picky eaters are sure to be engaged!

July 21st “Every Hero Has a Story!”
Join the Columbia County Traveling Library and explore super hero powers and the science of these amazing abilities. Hands-on activities that will help kids see their own superness!

July 28 “How Sweet it Is”
There are so many amazing things to learn about corn! This workshop will be presented by Rohrbach’s Farm and children will learn root to tassel all about sweet corn. We will also discover amazing facts about corn, other types of corn, and how sweet corn is grown and harvested.

August 11th "Happy Hearts On the Farm!"
Join Katie Rude, Exercise Science graduate student at Bloomsburg University and get moving! Learn how important fruits, vegetables and exercise are to a happy, healthy heart. We'll finish up our workshops with a fun, active obstacle course!
